Beans & Brews Coffee House is seeking a full-time Assistant Manager to support daily operations, staff leadership, and community engagement. This role is ideal for a motivated, proactive leader who enjoys both working on the floor and supporting management behind the scenes. Individuals who love coffee and would like to pursue a career in management with Beans & Brews are encouraged to apply.

The Assistant Manager plays a key role in maintaining a positive team culture, identifying and addressing potential issues before they arise, and assisting upper management with operational, creative, and administrative tasks. This position requires strong people skills, initiative, and the ability to balance guest service, staff support, and business development. This role is for hard-working and driven people who can think on their feet and want to improve their leadership skills every day.

 

Responsibilities:

Assistant Managers are expected to meet all the requirements and perform the duties of Beans & Brews Barista and Shift Lead, in addition to the following:

  • Manage cash handling, deposits, and prioritization of daily tasks
  • Serve as a professional and positive representative of Beans & Brews Coffee House at all time
  • Support upper management with training, implementation, and reinforcement of Beans & Brews policies and procedures.
  • Proactively identify operational, staffing, or guest-service challenges and help implement solutions before issues escalate.
  • Help maintain high team morale by encouraging, supporting, and positively engaging with staff.
  • Assist with additional tasks and projects delegated by upper management to support overall business needs.
  • Contribute ideas and assist with planning community events and in-store promotions.
  • Have a positive, friendly, and confident personality.
  • Effectively manage people, communicate well, and resolve guest and employee questions, concerns, and disagreements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Enjoys working with the public and demonstrates a friendly, confident, outgoing, and approachable personality.
  • Prior retail or customer service experience required; leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, manage multiple responsibilities, and support guests, staff, and management.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Fluent English skills required due to the guest-facing nature of the position.
